I was initially intrigued by the name of the Swedish band till I found out they took their name out of a 1944 American noir film.

This is basically where all interesting things stop regarding their second album. They belong to the constantly increasing category of bands featuring a female voice, an idiom trying to establish more Rock and clean cut vocals, since the bands with a soprano voice seem to be defined and already established.

“Bye Bye Lullaby” is the most indifferent album I’ve listened to over the last few weeks. There is no motivation in getting into The Murder Of My Sweet, as they don’t seem to offer something distinguished in any specific area (composition, melodies, ideas); they can’t offer something different. It’s tasteless and without any flavor…

I would like to mention once again that an indifferent album is not necessarily a bad one. One is hard to find bad albums, especially in this area. However, when you have so many remarkable albums coming out, released like “Bye Bye Lullaby” can not be proposed instead.
