Greek Metal band The Silent Rage got back to the studio last February, to record five songs for this EP. Actually, they re-arranged three older songs and done a couple of new compositions. The boys, as I read, are currently working on their upcoming album, entitled “Inner scars”.
New tracks, “Inner scars” and “Harvester of souls” possess impressive riffs and, naturally, D. Kontis’ voice; I’ve written about this voice in the past… It’s clear, it’s powerful, it’s epical and lyrical at the same time. I’d say it’s with investing in this voice. It binds with the songs and the motif.
I truly believe this ΕΡ can operate as a teaser for the debut full length album; all five songs should be included in there after all. Unless there is more than meets the eye and the band is holding some more cards up their sleeve. Peeps who haven’t yet listened to their previous EP’s should embrace this release, it’s the best intro in order to get “into it” and appreciate the boys’ music.
Brilliant melodies, fantastic choruses, axes and blasts. Fans of fine Metal and Epic Power will love it.
