This is a debut album from a bunch of guys that doesn’t seem, and most importantly they don’t sound like “rookies” at all. Their style could easily be described as hard rock that brings to mind a lot from KISS, Mr.Big, Journey, and Tesla, but at the same time nothing specific, which is actually their most valuable weapon.

If you are into groove, melodic, as well as ballsy hard rock, then you should definitely reach for your wallet to buy this not-so-widely known album, that might be graced by the presence of Glenn Hughes in one song, but honestly, and with all due respect, I don’t think that guest appearance was necessary! Surely, an upcoming band has to draw attention at all costs, but the Slam has the stuff, and the potential to stick to their guns and follow the path that would eventually lead them to success.

“Hit It” contains some great songs, and it’s one of those albums that you can listen to from the beginning to the end, which is something that begins to seem rare nowadays. What thought that stands out is “Bad Blood”, “90-50-91 Love”, “Tears In The Rain”, while Sergio Simic’s voice has this something that makes whatever he sings to sound pretty interesting. In a nutshell, what’s the most important thing about this album is that the songs stick easily to your mind and makes you “Hit It” again, and again!
