During the last show of his solo tour Tom Morello tossed a mobile phone of a fan who was trying to get a selfie with him to the crowd. This happened at Tinley Park in Illinois after the guitarist invited people to join him on stage. There, one guy took his cell phone out raised it in the air in order to take a selfie of himself and the guitarist. But, Morello grabbed the phone and threw it to the audience. Note that the guitarist had warned fans not to use their phones close to him. After the slamming he got on social media he twitted: When you invite guests to YOUR stage and CLEARLY TELL THEM “if you stick a cell phone in my face I WILL THROW IT” and then their uncontrollable entitled selfie urges overcome their sense of reason they get their f*ckin phones thrown. Simple.
