This is their debut and apart from the fact that production has given a tremendous volume and aggressiveness to the guitar, they must adore Mercyful Fate! They have adopted those breaks, those bridges, those sickening sports, elements that Hank and King transformed into a whole genre…
Due to some vulgar double bass drumming on the side, when the snare storms out and the pedals accompany, then it’s one hell of an attack! Now playing: “Bite my shiny Metal ass” (!!;;!!) and the chorus is actually mid tempo, despite the pedals roaring; one might observe that the voice is flirting with Chris, with Udo, with Warrel maybe? When it comes to clean cut vox though it’s an entirely different voice! Although I must say I didn’t like it in certain parts… Especially some of the backing vox… Even annoying…
Passionate Metal, more furious than the characteristic “German style”, with certain tempo changes which might sound a bit strange at times. I read somewhere that other peeps consider their style a bit Thrashy… Nah, I don’t think so.
Yet I do think that we should pay attention to the riffing… Awesome themes, ferocious and evil, sprayed with a lot of moshing… Best of luck to the boys!
