Multi-talented and busy guitar virtuoso Mark Tremonti has just released his sixth studio album with his solo band. There was a brief period, let’s say between 2018 and 2021, where there was a perception of maybe a little fatigue creeping in, struggling to keep up, quality-wise, with so many projects up and running at the same time. Alter Bridge’s exceptional ‘Pawns & Kings’ removed any such doubts, and now, ‘The End Will Show Us How’ confirms that Tremonti’s on top form.
This is a record that flows seamlessly, all killer no filler, and leaves no room for second thoughts either; no questioning whether this riff is misused in that particular track, or if ‘x’ chorus could work with Myles Kennedy or Scott Stapp behind the mic. With direct and to the point material like ‘One More Time’ and ‘Nails’, more complex songs like the title-track and the fantastic closer ‘All the Wicked Things’, and of course constant guitar exploration, from blues stuff to Gojira and Trivium. Don’t let this album pass you by!
