Vermin hails from Germany and takes us back to the old school…when Swedish death metal was very big in Europe with kick ass bands like Entombed, Hypocrisy and Dismember.
As you may well imagine melody and groove go hand in hand with multiple riffs and blast beats. It’s obvious already from the second tune of the album that Six Feet Under is not indifferent to these Germans; especially when it comes to vocal delivery. Chris Barnes seems to be a great inspiration for the vocalist of Vermin. The production is the only modern thing about “Paradise”.
So no matter how much I like this genre, “Paradise” is not an album that I would buy at once. The songs are simply good though the band shows that it has potential.
