Τhessaloniki did it again. We recently received one more significant hard rock album. This time the band is W.A.N.T.E.D. which I mentioned in my latest article “80s Hair Metal. The party never stops” in Rockpages.gr. It’s the band that stands out from many of the same kind and keeps the music we love alive. The bass player Strutter plays also with the solo band of the most famous Greek guitar player, Gus G. who comes also from Thessaloniki.

From the beginning of “God’s Best Sinners’’, I felt the aura of Gotthard in their latest albums with Steve Lee. Maybe the band did not aim at this kind of result but I felt like this when I listened to “Eats You Like Prey’’. I don’t want to stay on the similarities with one particular band because as the listening continues there are many music parts that are modern hard rock, but there are also others that are more  American new metal. W.A.N.T.E.D. has definitely many musical influences. What matters the most though is not what does their music reminds me of, but the fact that this specific album made the band comparable with other big and famous bands of the latest hard rock music scene and now I can say for sure that this band has its personal music ID without becoming a copy of their idols.

Extra credit goes for the “ Sign Of Life” and  “The Last Time’’ songs which I think are exceptional and very characteristic of what W.A.NT.E.D is all about.

All the hard rockers out there should listen to the 4rd album by W.A.N.T.E.D. but should also pay attention to the remarkable music production.
