I am a big supporter of Eonian Records. I wanna be clear right from the beginning about it…it is a label that specializes in bringing forth albums from fairly unknown bands that first made their appearance in the music circuit in the late 80s-early 90s. It was the era of the reign of the so called “hair metal movement” and literally thousands of bands were trying to capitalize and take advantage of the commercial success of such bands as Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Skid Row etc. Some of those outfits never got around in releasing their stuff and exactly here is where Eonian Records enters the picture…

Wanted was formed in Indianapolis back in 1989 and “Too Hot To Handle” is more or less a collection of unreleased tracks plus live bits and pieces. Wanted had the whole package: a close deal with Geffen, well-crafted songs, a seemingly hard-working management and of course…big hair! And if the management didn’t go into a fight with Geffen, then surely the evolution of Wanted would be something to be reckoned with. The Americans might not have reached the quality level of the aforementioned bands but I believe that the fans of that era and sound will fins something attractive on “Too Hot To Handle”.

Highlight: “Caution: Not attending a Wanted show may be hazardous to your health”. This was the band’s motto for their live concerts.
