David Gilmour presented an animated video for the title-track of his upcoming album
“Rattle That Lock”, which is out on September 18th. Gilmour said that he really likes animation when it does something that can’t be achieved in any other way. The lyrics were written by his wife and lyricist Polly Samson who cited John Milton’s “Paradise Lost” as her inspiration. She says: “The animators have done a fine job, paying homage to Gustave Dore, bringing his illustrations for Paradise Lost alive, making a powerful visual for the song.”
