According to a recent interview Eric Bloom gave to MassLive.com, Blue Oyster Cult will release a new album. “We’re not exactly working on it yet, but the ink is going on the contract soon,” Bloom said. “We’ve all been working on songs over the years, but there’s a lot of negotiation, because it’s not just about the new product but also about the back catalog”. Note that the band’s last album was “Curse Of The Broken Mirror” in 2001 and before that they had released “Heaven Forbid” in 1998, which was a compilation of older and contemporary songs recorded by various lineups of the band.
