It’s a real pleasure and honor to enjoy a concert by such a remarkable and humble artist; especially, in this time and age where everything’s expendable, detrimental and faster than the speed of light…

It’s actually a wonder how some musicians manage to remain down to earth and create by not paying any attention to what the latest trend in the music scene has to offer. Giannis Papadopoulos is a characteristic case…

Wardrum’s frontman is –hands down- one of the best performers and singers of the Greek metal scene so it went almost without saying that we wouldn’t miss his solo acoustic set that included…well, almost everything! In this 3-hour set we were treated with cover tunes by such outstanding artists as Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Scorpions, UFO, Crimson Glory, Iron Maiden, Duran Duran (!), AC/DC, Heart, Queensryche, Savatage, Bruce Dickinson, Kamelot, Steelheart etc. and Papadopoulos had absolutely no problem in nailing down every single song with his unique voice. The place was packed, the crowd was really supportive and never stopped singing along while Papadopoulos was with a constant smile on his face…we couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere.

All in all, Papadopoulos proved that he is an invaluable asset in the music world and I sincerely hope that even more fans will discover this exceptional singer. We are already waiting for his next show.
