This is the first time that I hear the work of the Italian band ‘’Bad Memories’’ who are active since 2006.By the 1st hearing of the second album ‘’Forced To Be A Stranger’’ I felt immediately that this is a band based on the philosophy of the 80’s and AOR style.
The first track of the disc titled ‘’Tears Of An Angel’’ is preparing the listener for something good with a sweet melody and enough emotion, exactly what suits to a band of AOR style. It continues with a piece called
‘’Never Too Hard’’ which not really sticks to your mind. I have singled out and suggest the ‘’Shadow In this Life’’ but also the ‘’Forced to be a Stranger’’ for the true fans of melodic rock.
Obviously could not miss a ballad from an AOR album and let alone AOR Italian composers!’’Memories’’ is a very gentle ballad but not such of a hit.
The attempt of this Italian band is not so bad in general, but neither worthy of tremendous importance. For the obsessed fans of AOR music scene is a record they should own!
