Bangalore Choir are an American glam hard rock band formed in the early 90’s by David Reece, ex singer of Αccept. Their debut album remains notable for the composing participation of Jon Bon Jovi and Aldo Nova.

According to critics of the era Bangalore Choir did not start with the best specifications. Nevertheless, the 1992 album ‘’On Target’’ which was re-released in 2010 was excellent and filled with very loud , catchy riffs and hit songs. The main hit of the album and my personal  favorite is ’’Loaded Gun’’ which then became a video clip.

In 2012 they released their 3rd album under the name ‘’Metaphor’’ with which they will hit the road for their forthcoming European tour. The album ‘’Metaphor’’ is not far from the style of the first two releases. Their sound has slightly adapted to fit the contemporary musical demands, without losing any of their power. Apart from one song with a country character, all the rest will keep you electrified. Also interesting are  ‘ ’All The Damage Done’’,’’ Silhouettes On The Shade’’ and ‘’ Don’t Act Surprised’’in which Andy Susemihl (U.D.O.) has contributed with his catchy guitar solos.

I would recommend Bangalore Choir for two basic reasons. Firstly, because of David Reece’s vocal talent and secondly, because despite their short discography, they are definitely a band worth being –at least- acquainted with!
