The Germans made some statements about the album recently… ““Memorial Roots” was a cool album but “On the spur of the moment” will be a BLAST”! To tell you the truth, I thought “Memorial…” was way more than cool, however, it’s only natural for the boys to say such things. Once again they’ve released a fantastic album, they’ve done a GREat job and they know, they just know. Soon enough the fans and the Press will confirm. Brainstorm is a band consisting of amazing musicians and fabulous technocrats. It’s the first thing we realize once we get to listen to their album. It shows… It’s the way their music comes out, the way they perform, the way instruments sound. For instance, take the drums issue. Listen to them, listen to the motif; you can immediately understand that multiplicity can easily be pleasant to our ears. Artistic double bass, strokes binding with the melodies and the chords, unique paradiddles… On the other hand, we must listen to the trademark of Metal, the guitars; they bring out tons of volume, tons of sweetness, they breathe fire and lyricism. The way riffs are being played… Or the solos… They are nothing but impressive.

I’m listening to “No saint – No sinner” now… Andy B. Franck’s voice is perplexing with the back vox, it raises and dominates, it’s setting the bar high. When writing the “Memorial…”, I mentioned the infamous “German playing style”, which is a historical fact. I don’t have a clue whether Germans grove their music around or not, however, when it comes to speed and accuracy, the Germans rule.

The band has already done a video for “In these walls”. Yeah, I didn’t like the video, I thought it was a bit naïve, yet the song… That’s a truly phenomenal mid tempo piece, a truly catchy tone, showing how ear-friendly GOOD music can be. Brainstorm have conquered us once more!
