Jessica comes from Australia and, basically, she’s a full time artist, multitasking with writing and composing, creating songs and releasing books and records. This album is actually the sonic carpet of her latest book, “String Bridge”; it’s also her debut album, the marker of her musical achievements from now on.

Did you happen to love Anneke with Agua de Annique, most preferably in “Pure air”? Did you adore the way Wino performed in “Adrift”? Do you like this whole acoustic-and-more motif, with a girly voice that becomes so powerful that embraces the environment around you, that bursts out and thunders in, that uses falsetto in a pure artistic way, one that is asking without shame? “Do you believe we haven’t kissed with out tongues? In almost a year”?

Jess has such a sweet voice, one that steadily stands above the guitars; guitars that sometimes sound airy and sometimes floor it to the ground… Drums create the necessary background with those cool rhythms (“Wash me away”) and keys add the dreamy part fitting the entire performing art. When listening to the songs bouquet one might think it’s all about pessimistic reports and small shots of freshly squeezed despair. However, I simply believe it’s all about parts of the book and thoughts in minor E, it’s all about a real person thinking out loud… “So you want to live the life of a star, really want to be a mother and a father, so you want to start your own revolution”…

George Priniotiakis did a heck of a production in this one. Crystal clear, making the best of the accompanying instruments, setting voice in the center, giving it the spotlight. Trust me, you’re gonna love this voice…
