There are albums that are famous for their rarity or for their unique quality that time has not touched. “Destiny” combines both and Marchello is one of the very typical cases of those bands that could have succeeded in the music industry but unfortunately fate had other plans for them. Personally, I’ve been looking for this release on CD for many, many years but the price was prohibitive due to its out of print status and even at the time of its release the CD version was extremely hard to find. So imagine my joy when I got the news of its re-release from the excellent Greek label Arkeyn Steel Records.

I got to know Marchello when the album was released. How come? Their guitarist and vocalist, Gene Marchello, was the son of the legendary Peppi Marchello of The Good Rats; one of my very favorite bands. For those who don’t know, “Destiny” is a perfect blend of straight hard rock and melodic metal with a special emphasis on the guitars but especially on the flawless quality of the compositions. Arkeyn Steel Records has make sure to enrich this reissue with many photos, additional information, lyrics, slightly updated artwork and bonus audio with sampler that Marchello used to send to radio stations and magazines back then. In other words, a well-crafted work in all respects.

This reissue of “Destiny” will be available in 500 hand-numbered copies and as you can understand it will quickly become a sell-out…so, hurry up!

Highlight: We hear that there will be a reissue of “Power of Money” on Arkeyn Steel Records. Great news.
