This outfit with the weird name will definitely draw our attention in the near future as its first full-length album is about to be released in the following months. One more reason is that two members of this trio are known for being former Venom members. These would be Mantas and Demolition Man (also an Atomkraft member). The third person is Anton Lant, the brother of Cronos. It’s like a Venom “family affair”.

“Creatures Of The Black” and “Reptile” give us a taste of what is coming next. Both songs are based on the raw Venom sound but with a very heavy and modern production as well as some modern influences. There are riffs that can even remind of Pantera. Good songs but nothing more than that. The renditions of “Exciter” (Judas Priest) and “God Of Thunder” (KISS) are interesting. Especially “Exciter” with that extra lyric “lay down your souls to the gods rock n’ roll” from the “Black Metal” song as a Venom touch to it! In my opinion the best moment is the “Motörhead” cover, a tune elaborated in a way that suits Mpire Of Evil a hundred percent.
Given that this release is the only thing the band has done so far I think it’s too early to say more. My first impression is positive and I expect a better first record.
