The Swedish Nasty Idols return with the brand new album ‘’Kalifornia’’, faithfull to their sleaze values! After their reunion in 2006 and their appearance at Sweden Rock Fest(one of the best hard rock festivals out there),everyone were reminded that as long as the band’s founder-composer-singer Andy Pierce has the same appetite as back in 1987, the band will not stop giving its fans great glam and sleaze moments even in 2012.

The album starts out strong and wild with the rebellious “No More Rules” that draws interest instantly. Then, ” Kalifornia ” which is  the hit of the album and the only  video clip so far, puts  in the sleazy L.A. style of the 80′s .The rest of the album continues in the same tone with several stoner influences. You see, it’s quite fashionable now! The stoner piece titled “Nighstalkin” confirms just that.

“Pleasure Of The Pain” and “Night By Night” stand out as the most worth-mentioning songs which reminded me the early “nasty” years. ‘’Kalifornia’’ is a respectable sleaze album for 2012 but not as great as I was expecting it to be. I don’t like comparing with the old albums, but truth be told this one is nothing like “Cruel Intention” or “Vicious”!
