It was only a matter of time before the first clones of Crashdiet and Hardcore Superstar made their appearance since those two bands had achieved in the past 5 years or so remarkable success. Sister is a band that bears significant similarities with the sound of Hardcore Superstar due to their obvious punk roots that blend wonderfully with the melodic side of the compositions.
On a quite positive note is the fact that a legendary label like Metal Blade decided to invest on such a band. Now, it’s Sister’s turn to work hard and create their own musical identity while trying at the same time to focus on the sleaze side of the songs…it suits them far better!
We will give them time and a raincheck because they display some really good sonic elements.
Highlight: Some of the song titles could have easily fitted on a Lordi album…for instance, “Werewolves on Black Street”, “Would You Love A Creature”, “Drag Me To The Grave”.
