Jeff Scott Soto announced Talisman’s reformation for one show in Sweden Rock Festival in memory of the late Marcel Jacob. Here’s what he posted online:
I’m so thrilled to announce that not only is Talisman reuniting to honor our fallen brother Marcel Jacob on what would have been his 60th birthday, we welcome back original guitarist and bandmate Fredrik Åkesson back for this one time event to slay at the mighty Sweden Rock Festival!!
Along with Fredrik, me and drummer Jamie Borger, joining us onstage is the insanely talented bassist of Evergrey, Johan Niemann and SOTO keysman BJ, we will be the first band opening the festival on Day 1 on June 5th at 12hs. We haven’t done a Talisman show with Fredrik since 2004, thanks to the Opeth org for loaning us their boy to celebrate the music he was a huge part of!!
