Rockpages has recently conducted and presented an interview with the Finnish band… Whilst asking about the new album and learning about the details, we also passed the question to Jape, lead singer for the band, about the way the new album will sound. Jape replied in the most natural yet sincere way. “It’s a new beginning for To/Die/For”…

“Samsara” is the sonic attack by the boys from the North and their darkened mood is showing in the shiniest way. Kickoffer “Kissing the flames” is a mighty impressive track and black atmosphere is splashing out. There are acoustic intermissions as well (Death comes in March), filled with passion and despair. Basically, the band was aiming for that sort of despair, when they were recording around candles during cold winter nights…

“Folie a deux” (shared psychosis) is a brilliant song, featuring spectacular backing vocals over chorus; it’s really heart breaking. The band has also shot a video for “Hail of bullets”, which you can view over their official website and not only there. Catchy song, close-to-Electro-Pop keyboards… You’re gonna love the chorus. Video is capturing the band on stage and between limos, airports and backstage; a recent gig in Japan I presume.

There is also a cover on “Cry for love”, originally by Iggy Pop. As Jape shared with us, the boys do a cover song in every album they release, it’s something they fancy doing.
