Tony Macalpine is a huge musician! No, it’s not me stating that… It’s Steve Vai, Derek Sherinian, Dennis Chambers… I could add a few more dozen to the list, yet I know that you are fully aware of what we are talking about. This fabulous guitarist, keyboardist, producer and more is back in business, releasing his eleventh studio album. And he’s giving us beautiful, easy to listen to and not that easy to listen to, music. For instance, those tough prog themes over “Fire mountain” will totally excite our musician friends, yet we’re gonna be even more excited when listening to the super cool theme in “Dream mechanism”. As you can understand, the man has done a whole bunch of stuff on the album, he’s even played the bass on some tracks, programmed the drums on some others, yet, he’s called for some other spectacular musicians, such as Virgil Donati, to collaborate with him.

Twelve tracks (thirteen, if you’re going for the Japanese edition), featuring tons of guitar, even more fantastic ideas and motifs. He’s fast, he’s groovy, he’s lyrical and easy going, he’s playing stuff that humans can not play… Take a listen over “Pyrokinesis”, it’s a real flash guitar garden!

All six-string lovers and students will love it, they all know everything about Tony anyway. The album is highly recommended for those into art without words as well.
