An unbelievably unpleasant piece of news became known a while ago through the official Firehouse Facebook page. The singer of the band, CJ Snare “passed away” suddenly at the age of 64. Although the cause of death is not specified, what we do know was that CJ was recovering at home from a recent surgery. The members of Firehouse issued a statement saying they were shocked by the loss of their friend and in such an unexpected way. R.I.P., CJ…this is the statement:
“Today is a sad day for Rock N Roll. It is with great sadness that we let the world know that we have lost our brother; CJ Snare, rock n’ roll warrior, singer and founding member of Firehouse. CJ Snare died unexpectedly at his home on Friday night, April 5, 2024. He was a young man at the age of 64. As you all know, CJ was expected to return to the stage with the band this summer after recovering from surgery. We are all in absolute shock at CJ’s untimely death. CJ was arguably one of the finest vocal talents of a generation, touring the world non-stop with Firehouse for the past 34 years. Our deepest condolences to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, friends and all of our beloved fans around the world. “Reach for the Sky” CJ! You will be forever missed by your family, friends, fans and fellow band members. You are now singing with the angels.”
