Charlie Daniels

Country legend, Charlie Daniels died yesterday, Monday July 6th, at Summit Medical Center at Hermitage, Tennessee at the age of 83. Cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke.

He started his career in the ‘50s, he worked in Nashville as a session musician, recorded with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, played with Marshall Tucker Band and in 1979 released his biggest hit, “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”, the story of Johnny who is challenged by the Devil into a fiddle contest.
