Last Saturday (March 14th) Dream Theater’s keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, got on stage with Deep Purple in Mexico filling in for Don Airey, who didn’t perform with the band –for yet unknown reasons. After the show an ecstatic Rudess posted on Facebook: “Ok friends and fans— Here is the news. I just performed with Deep Purple on stage in Mexico City at the Heaven and Hell [sic] festival. I had an awesome time! @deeppurple_official @dreamtheaterofficial the cat is officially out of the bag!!”
