Apart from the living legend Demond Child, Alice Cooper, Bonnie Tyler, Kip Winger and of course Sakis Rouvas and George Lembessis who are well known to the Greek audience, there are some more artists that play in this concert that their names may not sound very familiar, but they have a great career and very rich CV’s. The may not be in the spotlight all the time, but their contribution is amazing and they will shine at the Erodium at the “Desmond Child Rocks The Parthenon” show. So, if you thought “who are these guys” when you saw the poster or the ad online, here’s the answer… Yiannis Dolas, Sakis Nikas

Rita Wilson – for most people she is known as the Greek descend actress who is married to Tom Hanks and has appeared successfully in cinema and TV in the States.

Apart from acting though, Rita Wilson has released 4 solo albums AM/FM (2012), “Rita Wilson” (2016), “Bigger Picture” (2018) and “Halfway To Home” (2019).

In 2016 the Greek post office honored her Greek roots by releasing a collector’s edition stamp with her picture.

Together with Tom Hanks they offered financial help to the victim of the deadly fires in Mati in 2018 and for that reason they were offered the Greek nationality honorary by the Greek President, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

Lena Hall – with roots from Philippines, Spain and Sweden this is a singer/actress with an impressive career in Broadway, TV and cinema since the early ‘90s.

Actualy, she got her first taste of stardom when she was only 7, when she sang for Pope John Paul the 2nd in San Francisco in front of 50.000 people!

Tabitha Fair – “If you took the best attributes of Whitney Houston, Chrissie Hynde and Annie Lennox, poured them into a bottle and stirred, you would pour out a sensuous cocktail that could only be called Tabitha Fair” was written in the American press.

We’re talking about one of the most accomplished and sought after backing vocalists for many years in the music business who have worked with: Sting, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, U2, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Wynonna Judd, Lee Ann Womack, Rascal Flatts, Rita Wilson, Amy Grant, Third Day, Sam Moore, James Taylor, Fall Out Boy, Bette Midler, Lenny Kravitz, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, The Roots, Jennifer Hudson, Michael McDonald, Elton John, Mary J Blige, Snoop Dog, and many more, both in the studio and live.

Andreas Carlsson – From my perspective, Andreas Carlsson was always one of the greatest students of the Desmond Child School of Songwriting. After all, this is the guy who has marked permanently the music industry with hits after hits. Just think that we are talking about the guy who wrote (together with Max Martin) the pop masterpiece “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys. A song that every single soul on earth knows by heart…even Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99!

But truth be told here, I believe that Carlsson really shines when he collaborates with rock musicians. Bon Jovi, Paul Stanley and my all-time favorite band Def leppard are just some of them. It will be a huge honor to welcome him in Athens, Greece!

Sakis Nikas

Chris Willis – even though he started his career as a gospel singer he found success working with house artists, such as David Guetta.

He has played jazz, disco, pop, rock and R&B, while in 1996 he released a solo album that was quite succesful.

Justin Benlolo – The youngest of them all at just 24 the singer has created a steer with his band, BRKN Love, as well as working with Desmond since he was… 20!

Justin gave up school at 16 to chase his dream in music as a singer and guitarist. He moved from Toronto to New York and from there to Los Angels, where he formed his band.
