In Greece there has always been plenty of talent and over the years we have been and are lucky enough to hear masterful records from bands that have either broken up or are still active. This is something that should make us especially proud and above all supporters of all bands, considering how difficult it is with minimal resources and only love to release a record. Let’s not forget that the musicians are above all fans of what we call heavy metal and what better than presenting us their personal creations with their own identity?

Diviner have shown since 2015’s Fallen Empires that they are a band that has read and knows history well and lays the ground for the future without copying or ruminating products of the past. With dedication and faith in the roots of heavy metal, they have managed to create their own sound and be considered one of the classic names of our country. Fronted by the always amazing Yiannis Papanikolaou, they prove how much they sweat the shirt and 4 years after Realms Of Time, we were told that their third album, the menacing and dark Avaton, would be their best yet. It is certainly something subjective, but by immersing  in the compositions and the incredible performances of the songs, we probably end up with something completely objective.

We are now dealing with a band that plays impressively and has nothing to envy from anyone. Avaton belongs to those albums that sound in one gulp and make you put it on again and again from the beginning. It is a truly unique result that convinces you that it has come from a great European band, something that can only be considered as honorable. The intervening time proved that something great was about to be created that will endure and is here to stay. Intensity, epicness and traveling magic, are some of the words that would characterize it with each song being a highlight on the album by itself. We are waiting for the live to travel with him!
