Phil Lynott’s and guitarist Lawrence Archer’s well-known band, after Thin Lizzy, returns to action for the second time after 2019 with a new album and video, which you can watch below.

Five years ago there was a first attempt to reunite the group with Archer and Mark Stanway (ex-Magnum), who was in the 1984 lineup with Lynott, and Neil Murray on bass, Micky Barker (ex-Magnum) on drums and and singer Stefan Berggren (ex-M3 Classic Whitesnake). The album they released in November 2019 was titled “Hit The Ground”. The pandemic seems to have put an end to any plans they had and we haven’t heard from them until today.

Lawrence Archer, with a revamped lineup that includes Rocky Newton on bass, Benjy Reid on drums and Mike Dyer on vocals, announces the release of another new album, “Wheel Of Fortune”, and presents the first song, “There Goes My Heart”, which is accompanied by the accompanying video clip.

“The way I look at it is that from writing those songs with Phil in 1984 to now, my writing style and the way I write, haven’t really changed that much,” offers Archer. “I’m not a shredder, I prefer to write songs and build that way. So, there’s that timeless continuity in how I write, fusing with all the experiences we’ve had as people over the years.

“I put the basis of the song together, I have a rough melody line, I might write the chorus line, and I give that to Mike who goes away and comes back with his thing: it’s not my thing, it’s his thing and it just works! His vocal tone – his ability – fits everything that I write.”

The album will be released on June 7, while the band will re-release “Hit The Ground” in a brand new recording on May 10 digitally and -also- on June 7 in physical format.
