I truly respect and appreciate Jean Beauvoir’s overall contribution to the American hard rock music scene. His solo career, his participation in various bands and the collaborations with well-known musicians –especially in the 80s and early 90s- have become synonymous with some of the biggest highlights of the melodic rock genre. Through that specter and bearing in mind that his solo efforts are relatively hard to track down these days, AOR Heaven has collected some of Beauvoir’s finest tracks and has decided to release them in two parts under the title “Rock Masterpieces” (which is by the way a title that does justice to Beauvoir’s skills). The first part will see the light of day this summer while the follow-up will eventually be released by the end of 2018 or early 2019.
Naturally, one should expect all the classics here, like “Feel The Heat”, “Dying For Love”, “Standing On The Corner For Ya” and “Hike It Up” (just to name a few) which sound pretty impressive and fresh due to the sheer quality of the excellent remastering work. So, if you didn’t have the chance up to this point, to own Beauvoir’s records this is a unique chance to own a true (master)piece of rock history! Trust me…you won’t be disappointed. Quite the opposite…
Highlight: In an exclusive interview that Jean did with Rockpages, he revealed that he is also working on his first ever autobiography. That is surely something to be expected eagerly…
