Rob Zombie has completed recording his new album for a tentative early 2019 release.
Last summer, Rob and his bandmates commenced work on the follow-up to 2016’s “The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser”, which was the second consecutive effort to feature Zombie and guitarist John 5 alongside bassist Piggy D. and drummer Ginger Fish. In the meantime, the group continued to play sporadic shows, with Zombie scheduled to kick off a 29-date North American summer tour with Marilyn Manson on July 11. Rob also started shooting his next movie, “3 From Hell”, a sequel to his 2005 horror hit “The Devil’s Rejects”.
During a recent appearance on the “Trunk Nation” show on SiriusXM channel Volume (106), Rob offered an update on his next album, saying: “We basically more or less finished the record before I started the movie. We haven’t mixed it yet and we haven’t put the final touches on it, but it’s pretty far along… We’re actually gonna start mixing the record in June, just before the tour [with Marilyn Manson] starts, hopefully finish it — I don’t know if I will — go on tour, come back, then [edit] the movie.”
