According to The Pulse Of Radio, SMASHING PUMPKINS mainman Billy Corgan defended NICKELBACK and its chief songwriter, frontman Chad Kroeger, in a new interview with the “Joe Rogan Experience”. After Rogan took a shot at the Canadian rockers, like so many people tend to do, Corgan responded: “I don’t know enough about their world, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong if that’s who you want to be. Pop, to me, is predicated on satisfying. I’ve said many times, pop is porn. It’s porn, they want to get you off. It’s just how they’re going to get you off. I’m not that concerned with getting you off. I’m just not. It’s just not in my DNA. I was never that guy.”
Corgan also called Kroeger “an incredible songwriter.”
