This is a classic case of an album that its title absolutely reflects the content as it becomes plain evident -even upon the first listening session- that Crimson Fire has taken the songs to…another dimension thus only a few elements remind of the band’s previous two offerings. The band has evolved and matured and the three main songwriters (Britsas,Koutelis,Ganitis) reveal almost all their influences throughout the duration of the album. One word comes to mind and that is: variety! And this is really the main characteristic of the album.

We had written a while ago, when we reviewed the premiere listening session of “Another Dimension”, that those who will give a spin to the new Crimson Fire CD will instantly recognize elements by such bands as Europe, KISS, Def Leppard, Maiden, Stratovarius, Malmsteen etc. But most importantly those songs are really catchy with memorable hooks and melodies! So, just when you think that you are gonna be treated with a full-blown Maiden assault with “Judas” or Paul Stanley will emerge through the speakers on “Fire Below”, you experience an…ear-candy melody with “Set The Night On Fire” which would quite fitting on a Beast in Black album. The guys have delivered a flawless bunch of songs and the overall performance is really remarkable and should not pass unnoticed.

All in all, Crimson Fire has come up with a stellar new album with songs that really stand out. The game is on and the challenge is here…Crimson Fire’s fire will hopefully burn for a long time and “Another Dimension” is just a shape of the things to come. Watch out!
