One of the most predominant and key figures in the Greek nightlife, Makis Saliaris,has passed away at the age of 71 after a long battle with cancer. Saliaris was the owner of the legendary night club “Aytokinisi” but also a member of various Greek rock outfits of the 60s, including a band called Stormies of which Demis Rousos and Loukas Sideras were also members. Saliaris played also with Eric Clapton when the latter was here in Athens, Greece for vacations. R.I.P.
