Alex Stojanovic of Metal Master Kingdom conducted an interview with KREATOR frontman Mille Petrozza before the band’s March 1 concert in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Asked if there are any plans for him to write a book, Mille said: “Yes and no. I mean, there is a German book already [Hilmar Bender’s official KREATOR biography, ‘Violent Evolution’], but it’s very short. I have a friend and he has a fanzine in Germany called Ox magazine — a hardcore/metal magazine; really, really cool, very detailed. He also was the translator for the DEAD KENNEDYS book that came out. Me and him talked about writing a book together. And I would love to do it, but, like everything I do, it has to be cool and perfect and the ultimate book that comes out. So I need time, and I don’t have the time when I’m touring all the time. It’s a little hard to actually find the right mindset to go into details, because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I think if you come up with the ultimate KREATOR book with all the stories and all the interesting things that happened in the ’80s or ’90s, whatever, and go really into detail, it needs to be done properly and not just rushed. That needs a lot of research, a lot of contacting people and trying to get all this stuff together in order to print and make it the ultimate KREATOR book. So, as long as it’s not the ultimate, there will be no book.”
